One of the self-care routines I tend to neglect is looking after my hair. I've never been entirely happy with my hair - really thick, straight, and generally not much volume. I've been colouring hair for over 10 years now and in the more recent years have found a better hairdresser.
In preparation for my wedding earlier this year, I went to get my hair coloured and unfortunately it turned out to be more bronze/orange than I would have liked. I was not prepared to have this kind of hair in my wedding photos so went to a different hairdresser to get the colour corrected. I was really happy with the results after this, but... that meant that I had to really look after my hair properly afterwards!
I'd been since trying to find a good hair product. I was okay with paying a mid-range price, needed something colour-safe, hydrating, and bonus points for sustainability and volume.
I'd been hearing about R+Co for a while, especially knowing that they're a vegan brand, sustainable, known for amazing scents and even won many haircare awards. According to R+Co's website: 'All our formulas are color-safe, heat and UV protective, vegan, cruelty and gluten-free, and without harmful ingredients such as parabens, sulfates (SLS or SLES), mineral oil and petrolatum.'
I forgot about it after a while and then randomly found it at my local David Jones (Australian department store) so decided to give it a shot.
...I regretted not getting it earlier. It is just AMAZING.
What I think of this product:
Smell is amazing, fresh and luxurious, lingers post wash, memorable scent that is not 'sickening' if that makes sense
Lathers up extremely well, a small amount goes a long way, leaves hair feeling super clean. Hydration is fantastic, feels extremely healthy and moisturized, without leaving the greasy/oily feel
Shine is unreal, hair feels so sleek afterwards. Don't even need to use any product afterwards!
Price point is reasonable at AU$45 (~US$35) for 241ml (not sure why there is 1 extra ml), not as expensive as high end luxury haircare like Oribe
Product is vegan, sustainable packaging, free of the nasties - amazing.

Overall Quaintrelle recommendation: This is definitely a product I would highly recommend that you purchase, you will not be disappointed! Next time I will be purchasing the 1L version for better value for money :)
In terms of where you can purchase, as mentioned I got mine in the local department store in Australia, so fairly easy to get if you live in a metropolitan area. However you can also purchase directly from R+Co's website, or other beauty retailers online!
